Queen’s College Taunton is one of the leading independent boarding schools based in the south-west of the country, educating approximately 780 boys and girls from age 0 to 18.

Residential Sports Interns

Fixed term for one year (term time only, but weekend work during this time is required)

Internship allowance of £8,000 - £10,000 plus on site accommodation is provided.

We are looking to recruit two dynamic and enthusiastic graduates to join Queen’s College on our internship programme. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in sport and a passion for education as well as a real desire to experience life within an Independent School. The Residential Sports Interns will play a vital role with delivering sporting activities including coaching and accompanying sports teams at the weekends. They will be expected be responsible for providing sporting activities to the boarding students during evenings and weekends.

In addition the Interns will help support the academic staff deliver the highest quality experience for our students both within the classroom and through co-curricular activities.

In return Queen’s College will provide the Interns will a real insight into working in an Independent School, with the aim of developing their skills and experience to pursue their chosen career.

Accounts Payable Clerk

Permanent – 37.5 hours per week

£16,890 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Queen’s College as an Accounts Payable Clerk to support the efficient and effective operations of the finance office. Reporting directly to the Management Accountant the successful candidate will work closely with the other Accounts Payable Clerk and will primarily be responsible for matching, coding and posting of invoices as well as processing BACS runs in line with the payment calendar. The individual will also be responsible for checking and processing expense claims on a monthly basis as well as acting as a point of contact for visitors to the office.   

A professional, courteous, friendly and methodical approach is required as the role involves contact with parents, suppliers, staff, students and any other visitors to the finance office.
