Queen’s Highgrove Nursery – Chef

37.5 hours per week

Salary £18,000 - £19,000 depending on experience

We are looking to recruit a talented and professional Chef to provide nutritious home-cooked meals for the children throughout the day. Working in the purpose built kitchen, the chef is responsible for designing and delivering a menu that is varied and exciting whilst also catering for particular food allergies. Supported by a kitchen assistant, the chef is responsible for the full management of the kitchen, including ordering and managing stock.

Working closely with the Highgrove Nursery Chef, the Kitchen Assistant will support will the smooth running of the kitchen, ensuring that the children receive home cooked, and nutritious meals throughout the day. Under the supervision of the chef, the kitchen assistant will take the primary lead in ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen is kept to the highest standards.

Events Assistant

Permanent – 37.5 hours per week

£15,645 - £17,242 (DOE)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Queen’s College as an Events Assistant to support the Events Manager to generate and manage the internal and external events across the College. We are looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic person with a real drive and passion for creating and managing events. The successful candidate will need to have ability to multi-task and use their initiative as well as being comfortable with interacting with a wide variety of customers.

Alongside the Events Manager, the Events Assistant will play an integral part in ensuring that the events and shows are creative and imaginative and meet the requirements of our customers.

A professional, courteous, friendly and methodical approach is required as the role involves contact with parents, suppliers, staff, students and other visitors.

Residential Sports Interns

Fixed term for one year (term time only, but weekend work during this time is required)

Internship allowance of £8,000 - £10,000 plus on site accommodation is provided.

We are looking to recruit dynamic and enthusiastic graduates to join Queen’s College on our internship programme. The ideal candidates will have a passion for education and a real desire to experience life within an Independent School. The Residential Sports Interns will help support the academic staff deliver the highest quality experience for our students both within the classroom and through co-curricular activities. They will play a vital role with delivering sporting activities including coaching and accompanying sports teams at the weekends. They will be expected be responsible for providing sporting activities to the boarding students during evenings and weekends.

In return Queen’s College will provide the Interns will a real insight into working in an Independent School, with the aim of developing their skills and experience to pursue their chosen career.
