Reception Meet People Who Help Us

This term the reception children are learning all about 'People who help us'. So far they have enjoyed a visit from Mrs Backhouse our Junior School nurse and PC Silverwood. Nurse Backhouse came dressed in her uniform to talk to the children about being a nurse. They particularly enjoyed it when she opened up her first aid box and bandaged the heads, arms and legs of many of the children.

PC Silverwood talked about his job as a policeman and let the children try on police hats and jackets. He even took their thumb prints! They loved the police car, especially when he turned on the siren.
