ISI Early Years report - Outstanding again!

The Early Years Foundation Stage at Queen's College has achieved 'Outstanding in all Areas' in a recent inspection. Jan Williams, Head of Nursery and Pre-Prep, is thrilled with the outcome. “We strive to give our children the very best start in their education and achieving "outstanding in every area" for a second time is fantastic and truly endorses this”.
The report concluded that the overall effectiveness of the setting is outstanding and that children thrive within a secure and happy family atmosphere because they are so well supported and valued by caring and conscientious adults.
“The stimulating environment, both indoors and outside, provides children with a balanced curriculum in every area of learning”, said inspectors. They were also impressed by “...the enthusiastic, happy and independent learners who progress well in relation to their starting points and begin to develop skills for the future... they learn to think critically and to reason”.
Leadership and management was praised as outstanding, as were links with parents and the ambitious vision for continuous improvement. There are many opportunities for parents to be involved in their children's learning.
