Y6 Gain Insight into Islam

Year 6 were delighted to receive a number of visits from Nawfal's mother, Sheema.  She answered the children's broad ranging and thoughtful questions about Islam with great clarity and care.  The children learnt about the origins of Islam, the life of Muhammad, how Muslims pray, core beliefs such as the five pillars of Islam, the possible dress codes and much, much more.  Everyone was delighted to receive a short lesson in Arabic and their own name written specially for them in Arabic. They really loved learning so much about this religion from such a knowledgeable, open and friendly source and, as a result, their interest and understanding of Islam has developed enormously.
