Sports Results - Week 6
Netball
V Blundells
2nd VII won 18-17
A great team effort against a stronger team with everyone putting in 100%. Excellent movement from Kate Alger-Green and fantastic shooting from Alice Whitley whose final goal won us the match.
V Kingswood
2nd VII won 13-11
It was a hard working match with moments of excellent play. Good defending in the D from Georgie Hale and Isla Ness.
U15A lost 5-18
The team put up a good fight against a very physical team and score did not reflect the play. Emily Ruffell-Hazell worked tirelessly throughout the game.
U15B lost 3-27
Also a very physical game but Kingswood proved to be the stronger side. Olivia Grant and Taylor Camber-Thomas took some great interceptions in defence.
U14A lost 11-12
A very evenly contested game in which we were never in front.
U14B won 15-8
We were 5-4 ahead at half time the team and they girls gelled together with some tactical changes. Nicole Keitch shot superbly and Kate Johnson at Goal Keeper took numerous interceptions to storm ahead.
U12A drew 14-14
We took a little while to settle but found our feet by the start of the second half. From then on the score remained very close throughout. Impressive performances from Maddie Beaumont, Joanna Wallace-Beecham and Georgie Longbottom.
U12B lost
A very tough game against a much stronger opposition. All credit to the Queen's players who continued to try hard throughout. Carmen Tsui impressed at Goal Defence and Ellie Brandwood led the team well.

V Millfield Prep lost 0-9
V Norman Court won 4-1
V Wellington lost 1-4
V Colstons lost 3-4
V Blundells drew 4-4
V Clayesmore lost 1-5
Played well against Blundells and Norman Court but we were too small and were not netball 'smart' enough for the other teams.

V Richard Huish
1st XI drew 2-2 goals from Jonathan Morley and Alex Pegg
This was a hard fought game where we were 2-0 up for a period. We allowed them to come back at us in the second half. Peter Davis had a solid game in the middle.
2nd XI drew 2-2 goals from Adam Pleeth and Lewis Kenworthy
The best display of the year - the team very hard and played to the game plan. Good displays from Adam Pleeth, Alec Fisher and Joe Heaynes.
V Kingswood
1st XI lost 0-3
A disappointing game for the 1st team which did not match the standard of play from the first half of term. We lacked a bit of composure on the ball and need to play a more structured team orientated game.
2nd XI won 5-1 goals from Adam Pleeth, Alec Fisher, Georgio Ashford (2) and Lewis Kenworthy
A good display - we passed the ball and created many good chances. Good displays from Alec Fisher, Jack Geldard and James Baker.
3rd XI drew 2-2 both goals by Matthew Shawcross
This was an excellent game with both teams playing full pace with some skill. Bradley Ford and Marcus Browne had particularly good games.
4th XI lost 1-6 goal fro Matthew Shawcross
Queen's scored first but Kingswood were always ahead in terms of precision and chances. Their determination told in the second half and they ran out worthy winners. The man of the match was Patrick Turner in goal.
U15A lost 0-4
A very poor first half but a far more encouraging second.
U15B lost 1-2.
A very disappointing result considering how dominate we were.
U14A lost 3-4 goals from Dominic Alcock, Harry Phillips and Luke Bartlett.
We went 1-0 down in the first five minutes and took a while to shake off the journey to Kingswood. After 15 minutes we started stringing some passes together and defended well as a team. The second half started strong again and we scored but then we started relaxing and conceded two soft goals.
U14B lost 0-9
A game dominated by Kingswood who were only slowed down by Claude's efforts down the back and Ed Barrett in goal.
V Millfield
U13A lost 0-3
A fantastic effort against a much stronger side. It was 0-0 at half time. Ben Rigg as the keeper was brilliant and the Millfield coach commented that he was the best keeper he had seen in a long while.
U13B won 1-0 goal from Archie Jeffrey
Played some good hockey, scored a good goal and rode our luck as the opposition peppered our goal with shots. We held on with tenacious defending and strong team spirit. Well done.
Girls Indoor Hockey
V Wellington
U18 won 5-3 goals from Eleanor Morley (2), Amy Alger-Green and Georgie Trivett (2).
A fantastic game - we fought back from 1-3 down and played extremely well in the second half. Sarah Grenville was fabulous in defence.
U16 won 4-3 goals fro Hatty Parker, Kate Alger-Green, Beth Donnelly -Ford and Catherine Challes.
An exciting game which we dominated, but couldn't convert our constant pressure. Catherine Challes scored her first goal every to win the game!
