Applying to Queens

The majority of pupils enter Queens College at either 5, 7, 11, 13 or 16 years of age, although a significant proportion have spent some pre-school time in the College nursery from the age of 3 upwards.
The major entry points to Queen's are via Nursery & Reception or at the beginning of years 3, 7 or Sixth Form but the school is proud of its flexible attitude towards children who may need to join at other points, even mid-term occasionally. Pupils joining year 7 from QC Junior School are not required to take an entry test but those from other schools are.
Queen's does require Common Entrance for those pupils joining at the start of Year 9 from prep schools, unless they are taking our own tests for an academic scholarship. Entry into Sixth Form is based on the student's GCSE results.
