Drama

Drama is a very important part of life at Queen’s College Junior School. Drama enables pupils to express themselves creatively and imaginatively, and gives them the confidence to communicate with others effectively. The children have the opportunity to use drama in many areas of the curriculum, as well as honing their individual skills in the timetabled drama lessons.
Timetabled lessons cover aspects including confidence building, theatre games, and basic performance skills such as improvisation, mime and script work.
All children have the opportunity to be involved in school plays, and most love to take part.
Afterschool activities involving drama are available throughout the year as well as the opportunity to take private speech and drama lessons leading to speech exams and festival work.
