Houses

Every child in the school is assigned to a House. Their academic, sporting and even singing lives within school will focus around the house they belong to. The Queen's houses are structured as follows:
Boys Boarding:
Channon House Houseparents: Mr & Mrs Philip Mann
School House Houseparents: Mr & Mrs Andrew Free
Girls Boarding:
Hutton House Houseparents: Mrs Carole Mason & Mr Jerry Mason
(Now incorporated into Southcombe & Jack Tigg, Wings)
Junior Boarding:
Houseparents: Mr & Mrs Chris Monks (incorporating Year 7)
Day Boys:
Fielding House Houseparent: Mr Angus Hamilton
Sibly House Houseparent: Mr Stephen Evans
Day Girls:
Ashurst House Houseparent: Ms Claire Harrison
Laker House Houseparent: Mrs Beccy Cole
Houseparents
Houseparents are responsible for the academic, pastoral and disciplinary welfare of the pupils in the House and are assisted by a team of tutors. The Houseparents should be contacted should any concerns arise about a child.
Day Space
All pupils are allocated 'Day space' within their Houses, where lockable lockers are provided for the storage of books and personal possessions. Pupils should provide a padlock with 2 keys for each locker, one key for their own use and one to be held by the Houseparent. Games kit should be kept in the Changing rooms at the Sports Hall, where all pupils are allocated a locker for which they must provide their own padlock.
