Worship

On three mornings a week at Queen's the Senior School joins together for morning prayers.

There are also a number of acts of worship for the whole school.The Boarding community meets once a week for worship, often sharing worship with local Churches.

The annual confirmation service is a united service at which those of Anglican and Methodist persuasion are confirmed together.

The Junior School holds a service on Sundays for its boarders and, like Pre-Prep, has prayers on weekday mornings.

 

There is a small but active Christian union run by staff and students together. There is a Quiet Room made available to the school community. This is space for private reflection and to step away from the busy pace of life.

Queen's College is a Methodist Independent School. Today the Methodist ethos is maintained in part through Methodist representation on the School Governors, the Headmaster and some Methodist Staff. The general Christian emphasis, which is most important in the school, continues through Christian staff and students, drawn from a variety of denominational backgrounds. The school has a Methodist Minister as Chaplain
