Head of Drama: Mrs Sue Marston

Drama is a very important part of life at Queen's College Junior School. Drama enables pupils to express themselves creatively and imaginatively, and gives them the confidence to communicate with others effectively. The children have the opportunity to use drama in many areas of the curriculum, as well has honing their individual skills in the timetabled drama lessons.

Timetabled lessons cover confidence building, theatre games, and basic performance skills such as improvisation, mime and script work.

The annual Junior School Play involves most of the pupils and recent productions include Peter Pan, The Snow Queen, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Oliver!

After school activities involving drama are available throughout the year as well as the opportunity to take private speech and drama lessons leading to speech exams and festival work.
