English has a suite of adjacent rooms in the main teaching block. Our extensive literary resources include both traditional and more contemporary texts as well as audio visual and computer material. Both libraries provide additional research material - both in print and onscreen - for pupils of all ages.

Pupils follow the National Curriculum guidelines in Years 7, 8 and 9 but are not entered for KeyStage 3 English SATS. Most pupils in Years 10 and 11 study both English and English Literature leading to two separate GCSE grades.
At Sixth Form level we follow the AQA English Literature Syllabus A.

Results are excellent as is our record of success in Oxbridge entry.
