Trips & Visits

To make the curriculum really come alive, we organise a wide variety of trips out of school as well as invite people from outside to speak or undertake workshops with the children. Recent events have included a Climate Change Science Day and visiting a Bio Dome, a workshop with Fab Drumming as part of the Year 6 Blues and African music topic, a visit to a Dairy Farm, a one-man theatre production called A Taste of Dahl, a visit to the Fleet Air Arm Museum and the SS Great Britain, a trip to Wessex Water to study rivers and a History trip to the Rural Life Museum. Each summer, Year 6 also take part in an annual residential trip to France based on water sports.
