There is more to school than just exam results and here at Queen’s we offer a vast array of co-curricular interests, clubs and activities for our students to get involved in.
We want to giveour students as many opportunities as possible to explore existing talents and develop new ones, be multi-dimensional, take risks and become leaders.
However perhaps above all, we want our students to find a real passion, whether it be creative, sporting, intellectual or community-based and to enable them to have experiences at Queen’s College that they will remember with fondness for the rest of their lives.
As students move through the school they increasingly become involved in actually running and organising aspects of the co-curricular programme which helps develop leadership skills and initiative – invaluable qualities in preparation for university entry.
According to our most recent inspection report, students “consistently reach excellent levels of achievement in the school’s very wide range of extra-curricular activities” with activities as diverse as canoeing, climbing, mountaineering, subaqua, debating, dance, computer club or war games.
We actively encourage students to become involved with the numerous clubs, societies and activities that take place during the school week, at evenings, weekends and even during the school holidays. Every term a list of activities is provided for students and parents.
