Boarding Houseparents

Year 13 Houses / Non-Teaching Role

1 x Male Boarding House -  One Year, Fixed Term Contract

1 x Female Boarding House -  Permanent

 

We are looking to recruit two Boarding Houseparents for our Year 13 boarding houses to start in September 2021. 

The roles are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running and management of the boarding houses as well as ensuring and promoting the wellbeing of pupils and staff in the houses.

The ideal candidates will have an understanding of residential community life in a caring environment. They will also have excellent interpersonal skills and be organised and flexible. These are non-teaching roles and come with accommodation.

Graduate Boarding Assistant

Full-time, Term Time Only (including weekends)

Fixed Term for one year

We are looking to recruit a Graduate Resident Assistant for one of our boarding houses to start in September 2021. 

The role is responsible for supporting the Boarding Houseparent in all matters relating to the pastoral welfare of the pupils in their care. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of residential community life in a caring environment. 

They will also have excellent interpersonal skills and be organised and flexible. This is a non-teaching role and comes with accommodation.

This opportunity provides a real insight into working in an independent school, with the aim of developing their skills and experience to pursue their chosen career.

SENIOR NURSE

We are looking to recruit a Senior Nurse to have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of our Medical Centre. 

The ideal candidate will have experience of child and adolescent health care and of managing a team of medical staff. 

They will be RGN qualified (adult or child) and have school or practice nursing experience with superb clinical skills. 

The successful candidate will need to have the ability to relate to children and young people and be interested in the pastoral care and emotional wellbeing of children. 

They will need to be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the medical centre.

Nursery School Practitioner

Full-time, term time only, starting in September 2021, initially for one academic year with the possibility of extension or permanency

Due to increased demand an opportunity has arisen to join our well renowned high quality pre-school provision here at Queen’s.

As a result we are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Nursery School Practitioner to work as part of a dedicated team of staff with children aged between 3 - 4 years in our pre-school provision.

Our Nursery School offers a broad range of activities as part of the curriculum, including Forest School, French, Dance, Kitchen/Garden Club, Dough Gym and Write Dance.

The ideal suitable candidate will have the ability to use their initiative, be proactive in team work and work creativity to plan and deliver activities in group situations and on a 1-1 individual basis to support and nurture children in preparation for school in a fun and imaginative age-appropriate way.

Bank School Nurse

Competitive salary and benefits

We are looking to recruit a Band 5 registered nurse to join the school’s Medical Team as bank staff. Shifts could include on-call, weekends as well as day/twilight/night shifts term-time only.

Applicants must be RN Adult or RN Child qualified with at least one year’s experience in the acute sector or practice nursing or as a school nurse and must have current, unrestricted registration with the NMC. 

The ideal candidate will be approachable and enjoy working with children. They must be willing to be flexible and adaptable and happy to work with pupils who show symptoms of Covid-19. Awareness or training in mental health is desirable.
