Bank School Nurse

Competitive salary and benefits

We are looking to recruit a Band 5 registered nurse to join the school’s Medical Team as bank staff. Shifts could include on-call, weekends as well as day/twilight/night shifts term-time only.

Applicants must be RN Adult or RN Child qualified with at least one year’s experience in the acute sector or practice nursing or as a school nurse and must have current, unrestricted registration with the NMC. 

The ideal candidate will be approachable and enjoy working with children. They must be willing to be flexible and adaptable and happy to work with pupils who show symptoms of Covid-19. Awareness or training in mental health is desirable.

Senior IT Technician / Network Administrator

We are looking to recruit a Senior IT Technician / Network Administrator to work in our busy IT Department.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to think and work under pressure. Working with the IT Manager to maintain the estate of servers, cloud services, network equipment and desktop PCs along with Chromebooks, laptops and mobile devices.

Expert networking knowledge is required along with knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server. You will need to know networking administrative tools, LANs, WLANs and WANs as well as being able to implement best practice for configuration and security.

You will be working to ensure Queen’s College is offering the best possible experience for staff and students alike. Problem solving and the ability to think on your feet are essential along with the ability to communicate clearly and precisely with students and teachers to achieve solutions and positive outcomes.

School Nurse

26 hours per week

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered General Nurse (RGN) with excellent communication skills and at least two years’ post registration experience to join the Medical Team.

The post holder will have a friendly, sympathetic and supportive personality and demonstrate a confident and calm demeanour when dealing with a range of accidents, emergencies and first aid issues as well as the general running of the Medical Centre.

It is essential that applicants have experience working as a School Nurse or in Accident and Emergency and have nursing experience caring for children.
