TEACHER OF BUSINESS STUDIES (AND ECONOMICS)

Required from September 2020

Salary dependent on experience.

An engaging, inspiring and committed teacher is required to join our Business and Economics department. We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, professional and dynamic teacher to build upon the reputation of our school. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with able and well-motivated students in a caring and supported environment.

The successful candidate will teach Business Studies at GCSE and A Level. The ability to also teach Economics at A Level would be a significant advantage.  

We are looking for candidates educated to degree level, who have a PGCE/QTS or equivalent, excellent subject knowledge and a willingness to be fully involved in school life.

Are you proactive, enthusiastic and highly organised and wish to join our vibrant and successful school? This is a critical role in the School and the successful candidate will co-ordinate the admissions process for the whole school from initial point of contact through to final acceptance and entrance.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate experience of admissions management or customer service in a comparable organisation, have strong IT, data management and administrative skills and enjoy working as part of a successful team. Applicants should be very personable, empathetic and able to juggle the demands of face-to-face enquiries with the documentation.

We are looking to recruit an Activities Administrator to support our exciting co-curricular programme. The main responsibility is to facilitate the smooth running of the co-curricular programme. The successful candidate will possess excellent database and excel skills and have strong administrative and organisational skills.

HEAD OF JUNIOR SCHOOL

National Leadership Pay Scale

Currently in the Teachers' Pension Scheme (TPS) 

We are looking to recruit an exceptional and inspirational Junior Head Teacher from September 2020 to lead the Junior School (ages 6 months to 11 years), join the College Leadership Team and be accountable to the Head of Queen’s College. 

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated professional with a passion for the development of teaching and learning and commitment to the personal, social, spiritual and moral development of children. This vacancy arises due to the retirement of the current post-holder.

HEAD OF BOARDING

We are looking to recruit a Head of Boarding to be responsible for the strategic leadership and development of boarding which supports the philosophy, aims and policies of the School, and promotes a high level of achievement in all areas of boarding life.

At Queen's we pride ourselves on providing outstanding care and support in our boarding houses. Previous experience of working in a boarding house would be an advantage, but not essential. It is our aim that pupils who board develop confidence, independence, respect for others, kindness, integrity and self-discipline and are highly valued members of the Queen’s College family.

GAP Students

Our Gap Programme is aimed at young adults who are taking a year off between school and university. 

Each year, we accept four students (2 males and 2 females) on a 12-month placement commencing in January. We offer the opportunity to work with pupils aged 4-18 across the whole College and to work with and learn from our experienced team of staff as part of the extended Queen’s family.  

Our Gap students are valued members of our team and we aim to ensure that they gain unique work experience and have an exciting and life-enriching Gap year both within the school environment and further afield, where the students will have the chance to explore the United Kingdom and Europe during the school holidays.
