There are many reasons why parents choose to board their children. Some of our parents are Forces families who want the stability and security of knowing that their children are well cared for in a safe and happy environment, surrounded by their peers with lots of busy activities on offer in the evenings and at weekends.
Other families may work long hours or live in rural locations and would like their children to be able to make the most of a boarding school ethos with the many extra-curricular and sporting opportunities on offer, whilst being able to maintain a family life at weekends.
Some parents regularly work away and appreciate that during the week their children have a support network of qualified staff to supervise homework. Whatever the reason there is no doubt that children who board develop confidence, independence, respect for others, kindness, integrity and self-discipline. They are valued members and at the heart of the Queen’s College community.
