We are delighted to have signed up to the Boarding Schools' Association's COVID-Safe Charter.
Our Admissions Department remains open and, although we cannot arrange visits at present, we would be pleased to organise online meetings to discuss inquiries and registrations.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Here at Queen’s College we have a full-time Chaplain, Mr Tim Aldridge, who recently moved to Queen's with his wife and family to represent the wider church to the school and has a responsibility for developing our Methodist tradition and ethos.
Alongside the College Leadership Group, the Chaplain’s role is to develop a stimulating and compassionate school community in which individuals are cared for and where qualities such as honesty, tolerance, understanding and commitment are encouraged.
The Chaplain leads the school in worship weekly during the term. Senior assemblies include a thought for the day, prayers and hymns and are open to all faiths.
In addition, the Chaplain also arranges the annual Remembrance Service, Carol Service at Temple Methodist Church and the Founders’ Day Service, which this year is on September 29th at Temple Methodist Church.
Although these services take the form of a Christian act of worship they are not denominationally based.
The Chaplain also arranges Confirmation classes and has a supporting role when it comes to pastoral care.
He is always available for a quiet chat, cup of coffee and support when needed.
Queen’s College is a Methodist School and a member of the Methodist Independent Schools Trust (MIST).
We have a caring, Christian ethos and are immensely proud of our cheerful, friendly and courteous pupils who support each other and contribute hugely to the life of the school.
The Methodist Church is engaged in education as part of its Christian mission in the world and schools in the group aim to extend the Methodist ethos and character and contribute to diversity in education.
The School’s aims are as follows:
The Chaplain is also involved with charity fundraising in the Junior School. Recent charities we have supported include Comic Relief and the Air Ambulance, fundraising with own clothes and dressing up days.
