We are delighted to have signed up to the Boarding Schools' Association's COVID-Safe Charter.
Our Admissions Department remains open and, although we cannot arrange visits at present, we would be pleased to organise online meetings to discuss inquiries and registrations.
We look forward to hearing from you.
As parents, we all want the best for our children. One of the greatest satisfactions of being a Head Teacher is the pleasure that is gained from seeing a young child achieve more than they ever thought possible.
Every year of a child’s life is incredibly precious, especially for parents, and laying the foundations for the future is critical in the first eight years of a child’s life. This is the period where a child develops their personality and character and it is very important that they grow intellectually and emotionally as well as physically during these formative years.
At Queen’s College Pre-Prep we recognise that a caring, nurturing, supportive environment is critical to a child’s educational success. We pride ourselves on really getting to know every pupil, allowing us to adapt our teaching for each child and to afford them the personal attention they need to flourish in their learning.
Small classes ensure consistency and offer an engaging, positive learning environment, where every child is known as an individual. A broad and balanced curriculum, delivered in an exciting and tailored way, ensures all children fully participate and enjoy their learning.
Most (children) achieve the expected learning outcomes by the time they finish Reception and, in many cases, exceed them
Of course, we want our pupils to achieve their very best academically. We recognise, however, that examination success alone is no longer a guaranteed passport to a positive and fulfilling life. Many of the skills needed for young people to become successful adults in this rapidly changing world must be developed in a child’s formative years and it is commonly accepted that the quality of a child’s early education pays great dividends.
The rich variety of opportunities on offer both in and beyond the classroom contribute to the development of so many key life skills. Forest School and off-site visits provide wonderful opportunities for active outdoor learning and discovery, where relationships, communication and problem-solving skills are developed.
From an early age our pupils become good listeners who communicate confidently and effectively. At Queen’s College our goal is very much to develop the whole child, ensuring that every student is the best that they can be and achieves their true, full potential.
Our team are committed to and passionate about the education of our young children and providing a strong foundation for their future lifelong learning.
