Founded in 1843, Queen’s College has been a cornerstone of education in Taunton for over 180 years. Originally based in Taunton Castle and moving to our current site on Trull Road in 1846, we remain proud of our heritage as the town’s oldest school and one of the South West’s leading independent day and boarding schools.
Today, Queen’s is a vibrant, forward-thinking community that balances academic excellence with creativity, wellbeing and personal growth. We offer a bespoke, individualised education from Nursery through to Sixth Form, with the same guiding aim throughout – to help every pupil thrive.
We want our pupils to leave Queen’s as thoughtful, confident and resilient young people. Our motto, “We learn not for school, but for life,” runs through everything we do, from our classrooms to our co-curricular programme of over 100 clubs and activities.
Pupil happiness and wellbeing sit at the heart of every decision we make. We are a family school in the truest sense – caring, inclusive and child-centred, with pastoral care that supports each pupil’s personal journey from the moment they join us.
We warmly invite you to visit and experience what makes Queen’s so special. Please contact our Admissions Team to arrange a personal tour or explore our virtual tour from home.
