Pathways
There are two options for the Pre A Level Programme depending on English ability. Both options ensure full integration with British pupils both in lessons and in the boarding house. Pupils will also have the opportunity to partake in up to 10 hours of Co-Curricular activities per week.
1 Year GCSE (English B2 and above)
Fully integrated with current Year 11
Study up to 5 GCSEs (Including own language)
EAL support as needed
Take final GCSE exams
Guaranteed A Level place in Queen’s College Sixth Form
Sign up for the full three year course and receive a 30% fee remission in year 3
Pre A Level (English B1 and below)
EAL and Maths GCSE programme (Study only)
Attend up to 2 A Level subject classes (Study only)
Complete the full A Level programme

We are one of the top academic schools in the South West and our pupils consistently achieve top grades at GCSE and A Level. Queen’s College has a 99% A Level pass rate, 43% of pupils achieved A*-A grades.

Smiley - Jesus College, Cambridge
Last year, Smiley in Year 13 has received a highly sought after offer from Jesus College, Cambridge to study Natural Sciences. Smiley really impressed with how well she prepared for the entry tests and practice interviews with science staff and alumni.
Hazel - Oxford College, Oxford Uni
Last year, Sixth Form student Hazel has received an offer to study English Literature at University College, Oxford University.
With coaching from our Head of English and Higher Education Team, Hazel prepared for the ELAT (English Literature Admissions Test), run by both Oxford and Cambridge Universities.
