An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Queen’s College as a Grounds and Gardens Operative

We are currently seeking applications from individuals who may be interested in a full-time, part-time or seasonal role.  

Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with the Grounds and Gardens Foreman to carry out efficient and effective preparation of all sporting facilities which involves the marking and repair of sports pitches, cricket squares, and artificial surfaces. 

Queen’s College, Taunton has a reputation for the quality of its grounds and sports pitches and the successful candidate will play an integral part in working with the existing team to ensure that this continues. The facilities include seven rugby pitches, eight cricket pitches and five multi-use games surfaces.  

At times, you may also be expected to assist with the maintenance and presentation of garden areas within the school campus to help ensure that the site is immaculately presented at all times.  

A professional, courteous, friendly and methodical approach is required as the role involves contact with staff, students, parents and visiting sports teams to the school.

We are looking to recruit an outstanding Woodwind Teacher (Saxophone and Oboe specialism) to join a large and growing VMT team in our dynamic and successful music department.  The successful candidate must have a high level of performing skills and be able to teach the whole range of pupils, from beginners to diploma level, with the ability to inspire and encourage students of all ages.

We are seeking a talented individual to join our wider maintenance team, working alongside another skilled painter and decorator.  This rewarding role provides an opportunity to work in a friendly College environment, Monday to Friday, all year round.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of painting and decorating tasks as well as other general maintenance duties as needed.  This role will be varied working both individually and as part of a team keeping the job interesting.

Do you have experience of working in a kitchen preparing food and knowledge of food hygiene, if so this could be the job for you.  We are looking to recruit a Kitchen Porter to join Queen’s College’s catering team and support our Kitchen Team to produce a variety of nutritional food for the children.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to perform and assist in a variety of kitchen tasks including driving, cleaning, washing, carrying and other manual duties as requested by the kitchen team.
