At Queen’s College, safeguarding and child protection are a central part of who we are. Every child’s safety, happiness, and wellbeing come first.
Our dedicated Safeguarding Team brings wide experience and specialist training to make sure that every pupil feels safe, supported, and able to thrive. We work closely with families, staff, and local agencies to provide the right help at the right time, always guided by what is best for the child.
Safeguarding at Queen’s is a shared responsibility. Every member of staff, across every part of the College, is trained to recognise signs of concern and respond quickly. We are proactive, not reactive – using clear communication and close collaboration to make sure no child is ever overlooked or unheard.
Triangulation between staff, pupils, and parents ensures that care, information, and support are joined up across the College. By combining vigilance, compassion, and expertise, we create an environment where children are protected, nurtured, and empowered to flourish both academically and personally.
All pupils are encouraged to speak up if they ever feel worried about themselves or a friend. We believe that by teaching children about trust, respect, and responsibility, they learn that their voice matters and that they will always be listened to.
Safeguarding and positive wellbeing are woven into our culture. They underpin our commitment to putting the child at the centre of all we do – in the classroom, on the sports field, in our boarding houses, and beyond.
All members of the Queen’s community – pupils, parents, staff, and visitors – are asked to remain vigilant and to raise any concerns immediately. If you have a safeguarding concern, please contact our Safeguarding Team using the details below.
