A meteor is heading for Earth… and we’re assembling a team of bold young explorers to help save the planet.
On this imaginative and adventurous Discovery Day, children in Years 3–6 will step into a top-secret mission. Working in mixed-age teams, they’ll tackle a series of exciting outdoor challenges – including climbing, archery, and problem-solving tasks to collect key components needed to build a rocket. The day ends with a dramatic finale, as each team launches their rocket in a bid to save the world.
But this day is about more than just adventure. It’s a chance for children to experience the spirit of Queen’s College Prep – where learning is active, collaborative and full of creativity. The event has been designed to help pupils develop critical thinking, teamwork and resilience, all while having a brilliant time outdoors.
This event is open to pupils from other schools who are curious about Queen’s and would like to get a taste of what we offer. As a taster day, families are welcome to sign their child out of school for the day.
Tuesday 3rd June 8:30 – 15:30. Parents are invited to join us at 15:30 for a short presentation about the day whilst enjoying tea & coffee.
