At Queen’s College Sixth Form, students are known as individuals and encouraged to take greater ownership of their learning, ambitions and future. With personalised teaching, dedicated Futures guidance and opportunities that extend well beyond the classroom, these two years are designed to prepare you not just for exams, but for university, employment and life beyond school.

Our Open Event is your opportunity to experience that for yourself. Meet the teachers and students who make Queen’s Sixth Form what it is, explore our dedicated Sixth Form spaces and facilities, and discover more about subjects, the Queen’s Diploma, co-curricular opportunities and future pathways.

⏰ 24 HOURS TO GO until Queen`s Giving Day!

For 183 years, Queen’s has helped young people discover what they are capable of. On 23–24 September, our whole community will come together for 36 hours to celebrate everything that makes Queen’s special and help create opportunities for the next generation of Queenians.

This year, we’re raising funds for two areas:

🎓 Bursaries for Brilliant Children:
Helping give talented young people the opportunity to benefit from a Queen’s education and learn for life.

✨ The Queen’s Wish List:
Funding the extras that can make a real difference to school life, from new musical instruments and books for the Wiseman Study to a golf simulator, kayak erg, digital sports scoreboard and pool table for the Sixth Form Centre.

Thanks to the generosity of one of our supporters, early bird donations are being matched, effectively doubling the value of your gift!

Today is school photo day at Queen’s, which means all pupils, from Reception right through to Sixth Form, are taking their turn in front of the camera📸

For some, it’s their very first school photo. New uniform, new classroom and a whole school journey ahead of them.

For others, it’s one of their last. A lot taller, a little more confident, and with a fair few school photos in between.

It’s going to be a BIG year for Performing Arts at Queen’s🎭

Here’s our Director of Performing Arts, Claire Davies, giving our Performing Arts Scholars a first look at what’s ahead,  but these productions will involve pupils from right across the school.

The shows are…🥁

🎄 Elf
🧞 Aladdin
👑 SIX
🍫 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
🌍 Rhythms of the Globe

And there’s plenty happening before anyone even steps onto the stage.

Our Senior production will have a cast of more than 75 pupils, Senior Dance classes are bursting at the seams and LAMDA lessons are currently running at full capacity.

Behind the scenes, we’re also bringing the industry into Queen’s, with professional performers, directors and leading drama schools joining us throughout the year for workshops and coaching,  including professionals with first-hand experience of the very shows our pupils will be performing.

There’s a huge amount of training, rehearsing and creating happening across Performing Arts right now.

We can’t wait to see it all come to life on stage💛
