Nursery
It was a lovely and busy week in the Nursery, and the children enjoyed plenty of time in the sunshine.
In Cottontails, the story Dig, Dig, Digging inspired lots of exciting play. The children had fun exploring diggers, building their own construction sites using sensory materials, and discovering what happened when they mixed mud and water. They also enjoyed developing their physical skills using the garden resources.
Over in Puddleducks, the children enjoyed The Gruffalo, acting out the story with props, making their own characters, and even going on a Gruffalo hunt. They also enjoyed developing their counting and number awareness through a range of playful activities.
Minis
It’s been another busy and exciting week in the Queen’s Minis room, full of learning and fun! The children have been working hard on writing numbers 1 to 5 and even stretching beyond during their group activities. They’ve also continued developing their fine motor skills through sawing tasks, showing impressive focus and enthusiasm. In Outdoor Ed, the Minis had a fantastic time exploring nature with a Colour Scavenger Hunt, using colour wheels to spot vibrant summer shades all around them. They also enjoyed time on the field preparing for Sports Day. To top it all off, months of dedicated learning have brought them to a major milestone, they’ve reached their final Set 1 phonic sound! The children are so proud of their progress, and we couldn’t be prouder of them too!
