Visiting Artist Sara Dudman Inspires Art scholars, GCSE and A-Level Pupils

The Art Department had a fantastic day last week with visiting artist Sara Dudman, who has been inspiring us all with her incredible work and exciting new techniques. Art scholars, GCSE and A Level pupils explored different creative approaches, including large scale mark making exercises in response to static images and motion videos. Sara’s work explores capturing movement in coastal landscapes, including crashing waves and birds in flight.

The collaborative exercises were incredibly enjoyable, but have also helped to develop the pupils’ technical skills, confidence and also their conceptual understanding of the subject. Sara’s passion was an inspiration to us all and we can’t wait to see how this wonderful experience will begin to feedback into the pupils’ own personal work.
