Nursery
The Nursery children have had a busy and engaging week, enjoying a variety of activities both indoors and outdoors.
Cottontails have been exploring the theme of colour through their book of the week, WOW! Said the Owl. The children have enjoyed decorating owl pictures, taking part in colour-matching games, and discovering different colours in their environment. They’ve also made the most of the lovely weather by spending time outdoors and exploring nature.
In Puddleducks, the focus has been on Mental Health Awareness Week. The children have been learning about kindness, expressing and understanding emotions, and looking after one another. They’ve also taken part in calming and mindful activities to support their emotional wellbeing.
Minis
This week, Queen’s Minis have been embracing their inner heroes with a Superhero-theme, their current topic! The children have enjoyed a range of exciting activities, including writing their names in superhero speech bubbles, designing their own superhero capes, and discussing the superpowers they would love to have. They also explored colour mixing while painting vibrant superhero masks.
In their Performing Arts lesson, the focus shifted to the animal kingdom, as the children experimented with animal-themed movement, exploring how different creatures travel across the ground.
Meanwhile, the garden allotment area continues to thrive! This week, the children planted sunflowers alongside the already growing herbs, peas, strawberries, and raspberries.
