‘A Christmas Carol’ has audiences singing its praises!

There were great expectations for our Christmas production, and nobody was disappointed.  It certainly wasn’t a bleak house as the packed audiences were enchanted by the huge cast drawn from Year 7 through to Year 12, led with enormous confidence and charm by Ellie (Year 12) as Scrooge- the female Ebeneezer was just one of many (Oliver) twists!.
With scenery and lighting that would not have looked out of place at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, the whole effect was both classic and magical and paid off all the hard times the cast and crew committed to make the show so memorable.
We were especially delighted to welcome local primary schools for a packed school matinee.  The young visitors especially enjoyed the beautiful Christmas spirit dancers and the huge snowball fight!
Artistic director, Mr Trafford, said, “I am tremendously impressed by the polished performances and fantastic, committed help from the crew, including Ellen, Jacob and Tommy”.
Next up in January there is a real change of style with the KS3 play ‘Monkey!’ followed, of course, by the epic ‘Les Miserables’.  Tickets are already selling very quickly!
