Tea Time Concert

Tea Time Concert

Posted: 9th February 2024

To round off a busy half term of music, we had a Tea Time Concert on Thursday afternoon at 5pm in the Old Music Room; always a relaxed affair, with plenty of tea and biscuits, this was a very enjoyable event as always. Opening the concert, Sam gave us a very poised and considered rendition of Air Varie by Dancla on the violin, followed by Munesu who was in fine form and sound in his very engaging performance of the classic Lionel Richie number ‘Hello’. Our only pianist of the concert, Maryam, played ‘Clocks’ by Coldplay with great style and accuracy. Ahead of his role as Javert in our production of ‘Les Miserables’, Evan then treated us to a polished rendition of ‘Stars’, whetting our appetite to hear him in the full production. To round off, Mary-Tess, who is a regular contributor to our concerts, played us out in style with her lively, dancing performance of Giga by Bonocini. Once again the musicians of Queen’s rise to the challenge, producing a super concert enjoyed by all.
