We were delighted to host the Taunton Chamber of Commerce in Queen’s Hall on Friday 8th March for an inspiring morning to celebrate International Women’s Day for the third consecutive year. It was a busy morning where attendees from local businesses, nonprofits and other organisations were able to reconnect with old acquaintances as well as make new ones. It was wonderful to see some familiar faces of Old Queenians amongst the 85-plus people attending. We heard from inspirational speakers, all local women making a difference in the community. These included the team from Women’s Work Lab, a fantastic South West charity helping mothers find their way back into employment in ways that work for them and their families. Another keynote speaker was
Fiona Mahoney, CEO of the regional nonprofit Reminiscence Learning, the designated charity for the event. The group which Fiona founded 20 years ago provides creative and unwavering support to individuals and their families living with dementia throughout the United Kingdom.
A truly uplifting session, our thanks to all who came and we look forward to welcoming you back in 2025.
