Joel (captain of the Queen’s golf team), Harry and Jonty represented Queen’s in the Somerset Schools Golf Association Annual Championships on Wednesday. The tournament was played at Weston-Super-Mare Golf Club, a difficult links course. The weather was kind; the rain stayed away and the wind didn’t blow but despite the very wet weather recently, the greens were fast and challenging. The boys acquitted themselves very well, dealing with the ‘first tournament’ nerves with a calm confidence. They posted some excellent scores with Joel just pipping his team mates with a very good 11 over which put him joint 7th in the tournament.. A really enjoyable and rewarding day was had by all.
