What a perfect sunny day for Pre Prep’s Summer Concert! Pre-Prep walked into the hall beaming and really set the tone for the rest of their music and speech. To begin, everyone sang A Happy Song, a cowboy style number, accompanied by a “Yee ha!” to end. The Year 2 speech pupils entertained us both as individuals and with a funny group poem. Our Year 2 recorder players gave a confident performance, including Hot Cross Buns. Strings United, Mrs Gullick’s Year 2 string group, also made us laugh with Tiptoe boo!
All of Year 1 took part in a class poem, Picnic and Reception too, performing Seaside. Year 2 thrilled us with their pirate songs (including some great pirate drumming!), Year 1 with You’ll never guess and Reception singing Fun at the seaside. To conclude, all of Pre Prep took the stage again to sing Changing gears and Today is the start of the rest of my life.
Many thanks go to the members of Year 2 who introduced parts of the concert so clearly for the audience. We really enjoyed your performance today, Pre Prep and thought you were fantastic. You even inspired a swarm of bees to try to listen!
