A team of year 8s and 9s travelled up to Sidcot to take on 14 others in the Team Maths Challenge. Running for the first time post-pandemic, the challenge saw schools arriving from anywhere between Poole and Brackley, making for a high standard of competition. Throughout the Group, Shuttle, Crossnumber and Relay rounds, the Queen’s team demonstrated superb teamwork and communication skills, as well as having to tackle a style of mathematical problem-solving well above and beyond most lessons.

They came away with an impressive first place, and with no national finals this year have been awarded the title of joint national champions! Congratulations and well done to Finn, Felix, Máté and Ben.
