The clock started at 8.30am and by 6.30pm a full show, featuring 10 dance routines, 10 chorus songs and 12 scenes were rehearsed and ready for an excited audience.
Top West End and TV performers were on hand to offer expertise, including Daniel Coombe (National Theatre- ‘The Witches’), Aundrea Nyle (‘The Voice’), Chris Jones (‘The Donna Summer Musical’ international tour) and Ella Gilling (TV’s ‘The Next Step’), and they joined our full performing arts team and over 120 senior students to create this amazing finale to our season of shows.
From great solos, to choreography by Year 13s and tech operated by each of the 4 teams in the show, Queens students showed just how much talent, skill, leadership and creativity can be found in all areas of our performing arts community.
Looking at the photos taken throughout the rehearsals and performance, the most striking feature is that everyone is smiling! There was so much joy and fun and even though it’s a pretty intense day, trying to get a show together in a really short timespan, with a huge cast to coordinate, the most enduring memory is that the show in a day is huge fun!
