A group of Year 12 pupils made the long journey up to Scotland to complete their Gold DofE Expedition on the River Spey. They paddled from high up in the Cairngorms Mountains to Spey Bay over 4 days. The weather was great and the views were stunning with every day bringing a slightly different vista as the river wound its way from the mountains to the sea. With rapids throughout, there were some swims but the group coped really well with the challenges of the river. The trip was the culmination of months of training and planning and everybody did very well.
