Prep School Science And Technology Trip To We The Curious

This week, Queen’s College Prep School visited We The Curious in Bristol, where pupils engaged with a wide range of interactive science and technology exhibits. The children explored the two floors of thought-provoking displays, learning through play and discovery. Their excitement was evident as they created green screen special effects, walked through giant bubbles, developed animations, stepped into tornados, and more. Each moment was filled with awe, creating lasting memories for the Prep pupils as they explored science with their friends.

Workshops led by the expert team at We The Curious aligned with the school’s Science curriculum, covering topics such as ‘Digest This!’, ‘Electricity Unearthed’, ‘Earth, Sun and Moon’, and ‘A Trick of the Light’. These hands-on sessions allowed pupils to dive deeper into the scientific concepts they have been studying in class.

In the 3D Planetarium, the children took an interactive journey across the galaxy, gaining a closer look at the planets and moons within our solar system. Some pupils were given the opportunity to capture images of the planets, while others had the unique experience of directing a camera around the dwarf planet Pluto.

Lowenna and Katie from Year 4 shared their enthusiasm: “Our favourite part was the planetarium. It was so cool learning about all the planets.”
