The boarding community has had a lively term, with new boarders arriving early for induction activities. They have settled in well, enjoying the opportunity to get to know the staff and fellow students at Queen’s College.
Hutton House has been bustling with activity. The boarders have spent time baking, celebrating the cultures of France, Italy, and Spain by preparing delicious food and learning about each other’s traditions. The Autumn Festival was also a highlight, with many venturing out to admire the full moon. Last week, the entire house enjoyed a shopping trip to a local retail outlet, returning with plenty of food and treats.
In School House, the boys requested Go-Karting as their house activity this term. Last Saturday, the youngest boys headed to SouthWest Karting near Yeovil for an exciting spin on the track. The older boys will have their turn next term! The boys had a fantastic time but are determined to beat Mr Noad’s fastest track time—achieved, impressively, in his school shoes!
Boarders from Years 8-12 enjoyed an action-filled day to Saunton Sands in North Devon. Pupils took part in a surfing lesson with instructors from Surf Saunton. Some pupils learnt the basics, whilst others were able to perfect their skills. Everyone made fantastic progress and enjoyed visiting this lovely part of the coastline.
Cotlake House has enjoyed a number of fun activities including a trip to Plymouth Aquarium, skateboarding lessons, baking!
