Nine Students Selected for County Pathway Cricket

Nine Students Selected for County Pathway Cricket

Queen’s proudly nominated several ambitious pupils to pursue representative cricket over the summer, and their progress has been outstanding. Twenty-three players earned stage two invitations, and nine were selected for county pathway squads—an impressive recognition of their dedication and cricketing abilities.

Congratulations to all the cricketers who continued their seasons with club and county fixtures over the summer. Many celebrated success both in team huddles and through personal milestones. Standout performances include Luca, Ollie, and Charlotte, who each took 5-wicket hauls for Trull CC during the club’s first season with junior cricket. On the batting front, Megan achieved her maiden half-century while playing up an age group for Somerset U15. Livi also excelled, scoring an exceptional 100 not out for Devon U13, in addition to helping her club side Exeter win the league this summer. Joining the hundred club at such a young age is a phenomenal achievement.

A special mention to all those who surpassed their personal bests in bowling and batting during the 2024 cricket season, and best of luck with winter training programmes.

Winter training for school cricket will expand as preparations for the 2025 season begin after Christmas. Best of luck to all academy cricketers and county pathway representatives in their training environments.
