Super Saturday: A Celebration of House Spirit and Sport

The morning kicked off in style, with the junior age groups delivering exciting performances in front of an impressive turnout. Both ends of the Queen’s campus buzzed with energy as a series of intense and nail-biting matches unfolded.

In Junior Rugby, Barnicott narrowly clinched victory on goal difference, with Ray taking a well-earned second place. Over on the hockey pitches, Ray House dominated the Junior Hockey competition, achieving three straight victories and an impressive +12 goal difference.
The intermediate matches added to the excitement. Inter Rugby once again saw Barnicott House emerge victorious, while French House took the honours in Inter Hockey, showcasing great teamwork and skill.

As the day progressed, the Senior Rugby competition became a battle of grit and determination, with three houses vying for the top spot until the final game. Barnicott proved their mettle, completing a remarkable hat-trick of rugby wins across all age categories. On the hockey pitch, Ray House delivered a standout performance in the Senior Hockey competition, finishing with an outstanding +19 goal difference to claim the title.

Super Saturday was a brilliant celebration of inter-house sport, teamwork, and Queen’s spirit. A huge thank you to everyone who came to support the players and helped make the day so special. The stage is now set for a fiercely competitive year ahead in the inter-house competition!
