35 pupils from Years 8 – 12 went skiing at La Thuile on the Italian side of Mont Blanc for the week before Christmas.
The early season snow conditions were fantastic and the pistes were amazingly quiet. With blue sky days and sunshine at the start and end of the week the group were treated to some awesome views of the high Alps.
Despite a real mix of skiing experience within the group, everyone made great progress and even the beginner groups were skiing around the mountain by the end of day 2. For the experienced skiers, there was also the unique opportunity to ski over the border into France. With a full programme of evening activities, everyone was kept very busy with a couple of the highlights being the authentic alpine pizza evening and the ice skating. The group were incredibly enthusiastic, supportive of each other and great company throughout the trip.
