This week saw the second in our series of sectional music concerts of the year, with all things String! 33 pupils from across the prep and senior school performed to a packed out audience; showcasing a range of solos and ensemble pieces in a wide spectrum of genres, as well as group compositions, the concert included performances on the violin, cello, harp, guitar and the guqin (following Tuesday’s incredible workshop on a similar ancient Chinese instrument).
It was fabulous to see the progression from beginner instrumentalists to more advanced musicians and the standard of performances was exceptionally high. A huge thanks goes to everyone involved, and especially to all our amazing music teachers for preparing their pupils for this exceptional event.
