Monday night saw the Spring Term evening Faculty Extension sessions (for scholars and invited others).
For the Year 7-9 pupils there was a cryptography session followed by a languages session where they were introduced to the basics of British Sign Language. The Year 10 and 11 pupils were greeted in their session by police tape across the doors of the OMR as they completed a murder mystery in which they looked at the similarities and differences between a psychological and sociological approach.
Year 12 and 13 pupils had two very contrasting sessions, first a hands-on look at packaging and its sustainability in DT and then a mock legal trial, with visiting speaker, criminal barrister, Mr Perry. The evening was punctuated by a wonderful ‘Scholars Supper’ in which our catering department once again produced a wonderful and tasty sit down meal, which added to the buzz of the evening.
