Earlier this week, the Queen’s Motorsports Team braved the cold weather to go to Smeatharpe Airfield to test out the newest changes to the car. The rough surface of the airfield was not the most beneficial to the car, causing two punctures. The Team noted that when testing types on airfield circuits, to use their tougher, but higher rolling resistance tires, and save the slick, high pressure tires for Goodwood. The previous adjustments made to the steering geometry to reduce weight and frontal area proved questionable and made the car skittish, so there was lots to take away from the test session.
