During half term week, several of the Performing Arts students took part in the Exeter Dance Festival 2025, with some fantastic results.
The Exeter Dance Festival covers all aspects of dance and performing arts, with the option to perform a solo, a duet, a trio/quartet or a group. The festival spans several styles including Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Lyrical, Tap, Character, National, Greek and Musical Theatre.
All of the students learn their dances in October half term with Miss Bryony, Head of Dance. They then have 1-1 sessions from January until the festival begins in February half term. All of the students work extremely hard in order to better their technical and performative skills throughout their pieces; we believe this is the true meaning of festivals, with any placings being the ‘cherry on top!’
Miss Bryony and everyone at Queen’s would like to extend a very heartfelt well done to all of the students who chose to compete this year; we are extremely proud of each and every one of you.
