The new Year 7 cohort began their Senior School journey with an unforgettable residential trip to Biblins Youth Campsite in the Wye Valley – a unique opportunity designed to help them grow in confidence, develop independence, and bond as a year group at the very start of the year.
Over three days, pupils embraced a wide range of outdoor challenges, from canoeing to cycling. It was inspiring to see each child step outside their comfort zone with courage and determination, building teamwork, resilience, and friendships that will carry them through the years ahead.
Even the dramatic downpours on the first night became part of the adventure, testing resilience and creating shared memories that strengthened the group spirit. By Friday, smiles and laughter filled the air as pupils tackled activities with enthusiasm, before gathering around the campfire with hot chocolate and stories – the perfect setting for reflection and connection.
These were unforgettable moments for the pupils, from spotting wild deer to campfire camaraderie, which reminded everyone what makes these experiences so special. Trips like this are a distinctive part of a Queen’s education: memorable adventures that spark learning for life and help young people discover what they are capable of.
For Year 7, this was not just the start of a new school year, but the beginning of a shared journey of independence, confidence, and friendship that will shape their time in the Senior School.
