Queen’s College Renews PaceLab Partnership and Launches New Fast Bowling Performance Camp

Queen’s College is delighted to announce the renewal of its partnership with PaceLab, one of the world’s leading fast bowling development programmes, as the South West host venue for summer 2026.

Founded by former Somerset County Cricket Club player Steffan Jones, PaceLab is recognised globally for its innovative, science led approach to fast bowling development. Jones is widely regarded as one of the leading voices in fast bowling performance, having worked within the Indian Premier League as High Performance Fast Bowling Coach for the Rajasthan Royals and with elite cricketers from around the world, including England international Jofra Archer.

This summer, the PaceLab programme will once again bring ambitious fast bowlers to Queen’s College to benefit from expert coaching, cutting edge training methods and a high performance sporting environment.

Athletes will train across the College’s outstanding cricket and sports facilities, including the grass middle wicket, outdoor net complex and indoor and outdoor gym spaces.

The announcement comes at an exciting time for cricket at Queen’s. The College has recently been recognised among the Top 100 Senior Schools for Cricket and the Top 50 Prep Schools for Cricket in England by The Cricketer, reflecting the strength of the cricket pathway available to pupils from Prep through to Sixth Form.

The partnership with PaceLab further strengthens Queen’s reputation as a centre for cricket excellence, providing opportunities for young cricketers to learn from some of the most respected coaches working in the professional game today.

"Our recent recognition as one of England's leading schools for cricket at both senior and prep level reflects the investment we've made in creating a thriving cricket programme. Partnerships like this help us continue to raise standards and provide exceptional opportunities for young players to develop their game."

Building on the success of the partnership, Queen’s College and PaceLab plan to launch a new Fast Bowling Performance Camp this August.

Designed as a standalone end-of-summer opportunity, the camp would open up access to PaceLab’s renowned coaching programme to a wider group of young cricketers. While PaceLab is best known for its work with aspiring professional players and some of the country’s most promising fast-bowling talent, this camp would give fast bowlers of all abilities the opportunity to experience the same coaching philosophy, training environment and performance-focused approach.

Delivered by PaceLab’s expert coaching team at Queen’s College, the camp would combine world-class fast-bowling expertise with outstanding facilities, helping players develop their skills, deepen their understanding of fast bowling and gain insight into the methods used within one of the sport’s most respected development programmes.
