Athletics
Our athletes have enjoyed an exceptional fortnight of success, demonstrating real commitment, talent, and school pride. Two of our standout Year 9 students have earned the honour of representing Somerset in the South West Track and Field Championships at Exeter Arena last Saturday, an impressive achievement that reflects their hard work this season. Alongside them, twelve Queen’s athletes competed last weekend at the County Championships in Yeovil as part of the Taunton Area team. Their performances were outstanding, with several securing podium finishes and all of them representing both Queen’s and the Taunton area with maturity, determination, and enthusiasm. It has been a brilliant two weeks for athletics, and we are incredibly proud of every student involved.

Queens 1st XI vs MCC
It was a privilege to welcome the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) to Queen’s College for our annual match, a longstanding fixture that continues to provide an invaluable experience for our First XI.
Facing one of cricket’s most respected clubs offered our players the opportunity to test themselves against experienced opposition, building confidence, sharpening their skills, and gaining valuable insight into the game at a high level.
More than just a competitive fixture, the match reflected the spirit of cricket, bringing together tradition, sportsmanship, and a shared passion for the game. We are grateful to the MCC for another memorable occasion and look forward to continuing this special fixture in the years ahead.
