Nursery
It has been another busy week in the Nursery, with the children making the most of the changeable spring weather.
In Cottontails, the focus has been on the story, The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The children have been busy creating beautiful painted butterflies and developing their fine motor skills by threading hoops onto spaghetti to make colourful caterpillars. They’ve also thoroughly enjoyed outdoor time in the garden, where they’ve explored a variety of sensory play activities and used the garden resources to build their physical confidence and coordination.
Meanwhile, in Puddleducks, the children have been learning all about farm life, inspired by this week’s story, What the Ladybird Heard. They’ve taken part in a range of farm-themed activities, including sensory trays and imaginative small-world play, learning about different animals, the sounds they make, and where they live. The children have also enjoyed being active outdoors, taking part in parachute games and ball play, further developing their teamwork and gross motor skills.
