It’s been another busy and enjoyable week at the Nursery, with the children making the most of the sunshine and keeping cool through plenty of water play activities.
In Cottontails, the children have explored an under-the-sea theme inspired by their book Follow the Fish. They’ve also been developing their early maths skills with a variety of counting activities, focusing on numbers 1–5 and extending to 1–10.
Over in Puddleducks, the theme has been sport, with children taking part in a range of activities to support their gross and fine motor skills, as well as hand-eye coordination. The theme has also offered opportunities to build on their mathematical understanding through counting, sorting, and sharing. Puddleducks have also been discovering fun and creative ways to stay cool in the summer heat.
