U8 & U9 Mixed Cricket vs Taunton School – by Mr Venning

Our cricket team produced an excellent all-round performance in a match that was great fun to be a part of.

We began by bowling superbly, consistently selecting the right line and length and showing impressive accuracy throughout the innings. This made scoring difficult for the opposition and helped us take control of the game. Our communication in the field was outstanding, with players constantly supporting one another and working together to stop numerous extra runs. A standout moment came from Frida, who showed excellent awareness and determination by stopping the ball, returning it quickly to the stumps, and helping secure a brilliant run out.

When it was our turn to bat, we continued our strong performance by choosing the right shots to play and running positively between the wickets. As a result, we scored plenty of runs and kept the scoreboard moving throughout the innings.  Overall, it was a fantastic team effort, with every player contributing to a memorable performance. We thoroughly enjoyed the match and are already looking forward to going again on Monday.
