One of the greatest works by musical theatre Stephen Sondheim, Into The Woods imagines a fairy-tale world where our favourite characters collide; Cinderella, Rapunzel, Little Red Ridinghood, Jack (and his beanstalk) all share an adventure that is both hilarious and heart-rending. Along the way, they learn that maybe it’s better if our wishes don’t always come true.
Over 60 students from Year 7 to Year 13 are coming together with just 9 hours to put together an all-singing, all-dancing spectacle, featuring all the top hits, from Waterloo to The Winner Takes It All! The curtain goes up at 6.30 pm and you have to be there to see just what can be done with the power of ABBA magic!
To help the Queen’s Performing Arts team, we are thrilled to also welcome two genuine West End stars to offer their expertise! Annette McLaughlin has most recently starred as Mrs Wormwood in the smash-hit Matilda, but also took the leading role of dance teacher Mrs Wilkinson in Billy Elliot! She is joined by the current star of Dirty Dancing, Sam Bailey, who can’t wait to put us through our paces- we’re bound to have the time of our lives…
Following ‘Treasure Island’, the Middle School returns in a spectacular Olivier Award-winning musical, HONK! George Stiles & Anthony Drewe, authors of the current West End ‘Mary Poppins’, made quite a splash with their heart-warming re-imagining of the Ugly
Duckling fairy tale, modernised for all the family. It’s such a delight that it even beat ‘The Lion King’ to the top awards when it first premiered in London. With a live band, high-energy dances, amazing costumes and even some surprising onstage special effects get ready for FARMYARD FUN!

Inspired by the eternal allure of the constellations, our performers of all ages will conjure every mood, with ballet, strings, jazz modern dance, woodwind and brass, tap and classical instrumental solos! Earth, water, air and fire inspire dance groups from 5 to 18 years of age in a pageant for eyes and ears that is simply out of this world!

With new-learned powers of magic, and aided by the spirit Arial, he will lure his enemies through the tempest to his terrifying new realm. But can any amount of revenge undo the wrongs he has suffered? How can Prospero ever escape the storms in his mind? Queen’s College is proud to present Wyvern Theatre on tour in the South West and beyond. This new production of Shakespeare’s final masterpiece brings powerful language and striking imagery together into an unforgettable experience.
Shrek and Donkey are sent by Lord Farquaad to rescue Princess Fiona, and on the way find friendship, fun and a fearsome, funky dragon!
